The Family Band is centered around the talents of  sister and brother duo Isabel (17) and Evans (15) Humphreys and backed by their mom, Americana artist Kathryn Caine, the Family Band offers unique arrangements of original and classic songs. Their unmatched harmony is close and tight, High and Lonesome,  honed to perfection in the sanctuary as this family of singers and musicians learned to sing in church. With a sweet yet powerful, soulful voice, Isabel sings lead vocal and partners it with her award winning flute playing. In addition to music, she is an award winning visual artist and acts in musical theater. Evans sings harmony and is a virtuoso stand up and electric bass player. When he is not playing music he is a starting offensive lineman for his high school's varsity football team and plays on the tennis team. He is a student at the North Carolina School of Math and Science and currently studies Jazz bass under Dr.Natalie Boeyink at UNCW. Both Izzy and Evans are active members of the Wilmington Youth Orchestra, and their exceptional talents are at the driving force of The Family Band. Mom, Kathryn Caine earned critical acclaim and national success with her original albums Whiteville, Down Home Girl and When I Was His Wife. She has passed down her love for traditional singing and songwriting to Isabel and Evans as they have shared the stage with her since they were born.  The Family Band features Isabel on lead vocals and flute, Evans on stand up and electric bass and vocals, and Kathryn on piano, guitar and vocals. They perform Kathryn’s original songs as well as many traditional covers that bring out the incomparable musical  harmony and their loving and witty family dynamic. The Family Band has opened up for award winning country artists such as Josh Turner, Jamey Johnson, Phil Vassar and Lee Ann Womack .
